“Children of the Universe” Documentary Screening
WHAT: Every parent wants to show their children the wonders that the world has to offer. If you haven’t got the time, funds or patience for it this weekend just take them to Switzerland! KinderDocs, the International Film Festival for children at the Benaki Museum, will screen the documentary film “Children of the Universe” and magically provide astronomy lessons from the Swiss Alps, all within Athens city limits. In the film astrophysicist Stéphanie Juneau leads a kid-friendly adventure into the universe itself and explains the big stuff: the Big Explosion, the creation of stars, supernovas, all the way down to the ground itself. There will be a discussion with experts on the subject after the screening and the entire event is suitable for children ages 9 and up.
