ERT seduces viewers with free films and curated content
ERT had us hooked with the 6 o’clock broadcast for daily updates, so it was only a question of time before they decided to go the Netflix way and offer us prime content for free. A savvy move by the state broadcaster to capitalise on its high ratings and captive audience to up its game.
Just when you thought you’d run out of shows to binge-watch during Lockdown, ERT, Greece’s state broadcaster surprises us, by offering a bouquet of curated content including award-winning films, TV series and documentaries – for free, whenever you want to tune in, starting April 24. Dubbed ERTFLIX by the media, (its name is yet to be decided), ERT’s hybrid TV, is bound to impress even its harshest sceptics. It’s not just the envy-inducing platform designed by ERT technicians on par with Netflix, Amazon or Apple we’re talking about, it is enhanced features, intelligent content including award-winning films and access to rare footage that has got us drooling.
