The Athens Singers perform Cherubini’s Requiem in C minor

What to expect: The Athens Singers perform Cherubini’s Requiem in C Minor at the War Museum Amphitheatre, conveniently located near the Evangelismos Metro Station. The Requiem in C Minor is a dramatic and moving work composed in 1815. Admired by composers such as Beethoven, Schumann and Berlioz, it was considered to be a masterpiece of its kind. A reception will follow at the Museum. The Athens Singers is a choral group based in Athens, Greece. Founded in 1967, the choir consists of both Greek and international members. The group still retains the original energy and love for choral music from the very first meetings. Singing in a variety of languages, the musical styles they perform range from pre-baroque to twenty-first century.
