The Co-Museum
WHAT: The Benaki Museum, the U.S. Embassy in Athens and the British Council, in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Athen organize “THE CO-MUSEUM: Synergies, coalitions and partnerships between museums, cultural initiatives, civil society and beyond.”
The Conference invites professionals from museums and cultural organizations, civil society, community groups, artists, educators and students to examine how collaborations across sectors can be a powerful tool to achieve prosperity for their organizations and help them become more relevant to their communities. During the conference, international and Greek speakers will share their experience in public-private partnerships, conventional and non-conventional synergies, marketable and non-commercial collaborations, as well as cross disciplinary and cross-sectoral coalitions.
The topics that will be discussed include:
- how diverse synergies can help cultural organizations with outreach and audience development, as well as on sustainability and financial growth,
- how museums and cultural organizations can imbed diverse collaborations into their strategy and planning,
- how museums and cultural organizations can invite communities and initiatives to participate in a co-creation process.
